The group CORTIS has joined the ranks of “double million-sellers” with their debut album.
According to the latest weekly album chart (tracking period: Feb 22–28) released on the 5th by Circle Chart, CORTIS’s debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES has surpassed 2 million copies in cumulative sales. Among K-pop groups, only two teams in total, including CORTIS, have achieved double-million sales with their debut album.
Released in September last year, COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES has continued to see steady growth in sales even after its initial first-week sales period ended. The album reached 500,000 copies in September 2025, 1 million in November 2025, and 2 million in March 2026, showing that its popularity has remained strong over time. Various versions, including the standard edition and Weverse edition, as well as special versions like Singing Bowl, LP (vinyl), and CORTIS Ball, have repeatedly sold out quickly whenever restocked, demonstrating long-term popularity.
CORTIS’s long-lasting success is also reflected on the latest charts (dated March 7) released by the U.S. music outlet Billboard. COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES has stayed on major album charts, including the World Albums chart, for 25 consecutive weeks. In particular, on the Top Album Sales chart—which tracks physical album sales—the album climbed 9 spots from the previous week to No. 24, marking its second consecutive week of rising on the chart.
This momentum comes after the group appeared at a major event during National Basketball Association All-Star Week, the first time a K-pop artist has done so, and sang the song Mention Me, featured in the upcoming film GOAT by Sony Pictures Animation. Their appearances in large-scale performances and media exposure helped attract new fans.
Additionally, the group’s self-produced content, showing members’ unfiltered daily lives and behind-the-scenes moments, has also played a major role in drawing in new fans. The most-viewed video on the team’s official YouTube channel has nearly 8 million views, and 37 videos (excluding Shorts) have each surpassed 1 million views.
Meanwhile, CORTIS recently surprised fans by revealing lyrics from their upcoming song YOUNGCREATORCREW, first teased during a U.S. concert, through a unique collaboration with the typing practice service Hancom Taja by Hancom Inc.. The lyrics were introduced through the service’s Acid Rain typing game and online transcription content, providing fans with a fun and unusual way to experience the song.
