[theqoo] THAI PERSON WHO CLAIMS THAT KOREANS SMELL TOO MUCH LIKE DETERGENT

Tweet: People wearing smelly clothes, do you even know we can smell you? Why do you take out clothes that smell like that and wear them

QRT: The smell from Korean people’s clothes is really, really strong. It feels like they wash and dry them using only detergent. Korean people rarely expose their clothes to direct sunlight; I noticed they dry their laundry indoors. Especially in humid weather, walking past these people or riding the subway makes me feel like I’m going to throw up. My throat felt bitter. It wasn’t just the smell of the clothes; even among the women, who have pretty faces and wear good makeup, that bitter smell from their clothes gets stuck in my throat.

1. It’s because in the city, making them dry out in the sun will actually attract more dust and dirt. But they’re not wrong, drying clothes in the sun does make them smell nice and look crisp

2. Huh?? I went to Thailand and Koreans smell way better… It’s even more so these days because many households use dryers

3. The way they’re hating on Korea for its smell among all other things is so funny

4. It’s funny that a Thai person dares to talk about smell

5. I bet they’ve never even stepped in Korea

6. Why does it sound like they’re exploding with inferiority complex and talking about how Korea smells nice instead?

7. I live abroad and recently visited Korea for the first time in 10 years, but people didn’t smell bad. The only smells I caught were sewers and cigarette smoke..

8. I’m f*cking sensitive to smell, and I’ve never realized that anyone around me abused the fabric softeners

9. But Thais’ sweat smell is worse

10. Have these people even been to Korea?
