Original Tweet: To you guys, does “the natural skin tone of Koreans” mean the skin color of a soccer player who runs around sweating all day under the strong sun without wearing sunscreen? Who decided that? Isn’t the skin color of ordinary Koreans, who just go about their daily lives indoors without being exposed to the sun all day, “natural”?

It seemed like they had absolutely no concept that prolonged exposure to sunlight causes the skin to get deeply tanned.
Isn’t it a universal rule that East Asians get tanned in the summer and their skin returns to its original color in the winter?
It feels like their understanding of Asian skin is practically zero? Yup..

1. Why are they so obsessed about Korean skin color?
2. South Korea is a country where Koreans don’t discriminate against each other based on skin color when it comes to employment, and where people aren’t looked down upon, so why are people making such a big deal about the skin color of people from other countries?
3. It’s just a matter of intelligence. I guess they think that since their own country discriminates based on skin color, Korea must do the same
4. Isn’t that just because of your natural skin tone, you don’t even have the concept of getting sunburned? And since the point is to criticize anyway, I doubt they even know what they’re talking about
5. If you don’t know anything about other races, then just shut up
6. It’s like they think sunscreen is some kind of cosmetic procedure or something.. I mean, sunscreen isn’t just about skin tone, it affects wrinkles and overall skin condition tooㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Sure, it keeps you from getting sunburned right away, but it also helps with dark spots, wrinkles, hydration, and all thatㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ If you don’t wear sunscreen, you’ll look way older, regardless of your skin tone!
7. They were saying stuff like, “Is that really your natural skin tone, all tanned from the sun?”, I just couldn’t make sense of it. I guess they have an inferiority complex because Koreans are pale
8. But summer is the season where people get more tannedㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
9. Why can’t they not recognize that Koreans are just pale?ㅋㅋㅋ How many years has this thing been going on for?
