BTS members are unable to even announce something after Suga‘s ‘drunk driving’ scandal.

On the 7th, RM shared a post titled ‘The Genius Community’s 25 Best Albums of 2024 So Far‘ on his account. His second solo album ‘Right Place, Wrong Person‘ had placed in the top 10 of the 25 best albums of the year selected by American music media ‘The Genius.’

However, RM quickly took down the story, taking note of Suga’s drunk driving controversy.

Jin is also in awkward situation. He was selected as the new global brand ambassador for Italian luxury brand Gucci and had expressed his anticipation for future collaborations with Creative Director Sabato de Sarno. However, he also had to remain silent and could not personally deliver the welcome news.

The Military Manpower Administration (MMA) has also addressed Suga’s scandal. A representative stated on the 8th, “BTS Suga’s drunk driving was after work hours and can only be punished under civilian law. There will be no separate disciplinary action.”

Suga was caught drunk driving while still in active service as a “social worker.”

  1. [+1,260, -15] Then why are soldiers on vacation punished so severely? Are they still working even when on vacation?? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
  2. [+630, -25] So if a soldier is out on leave he can drive drunk and won’t be punished right?
  3. [+426, -5] The MMA needs to do what they did for punishments back then. When actor Kwon Mo (2005) and comedian Yoo Mo (2012) were caught drunk driving while in public service, they received disciplinary action and got their service extended. So why are things different now with BTS?? Have they no pride? This is unfair!
  4. [+340, -23] Ah, so I can drink and drive after work..
  5. [+337, -20] Wow.. good, so it’s ok for soldiers to do stupid things after work hours.. got it
  6. [+242, -9] But a soldier can’t get into an accident while on vacation without any punishment? Doesn’t seem fair..
  7. [+2124, -11] The world has become so twisted that the people that need to go to social service can’t..
  8. [+160, -9] That’s nonsense.. the rest of us would end up in military prison!
  9. [+78, -1] According to that logic, civil servants should not be subject to separate disciplinary action either if they drink and drive after work hours?
  10. [+64, -3] Ah, it’s amazing to be famous. When I was training in Nonsan, I was clearly told not to cause any accidents until 12 O’clock on the last day of training even after I was discharged. I was considered a soldier up until that point. So you’re using work hours and status like a rubber band..
  11. [+52, -3] But didn’t he say it was a kickboard at first and not a scooter? Was that his own position or a mistake on the part of police? It’s disappointing enough that he was drunk to the point his license got revoked but he also lied and said it was a kickboard when it wasn’t? Isn’t that a huge issue?!
  12. [+37, -11] BTS-ssi, goodbye! You won’t go far.
  13. [+17, -0] Now this is true bullet proofㅋㅋ
  14. [+7, -3] Kick him out of BTS!
