BTS: US Transportation Administration Leaves A Friendly Reminder To ARMY Fans

us TSA message to BTS Army

The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) leaves a friendly reminder to the Kpop group BTS fandom ‘ARMY’ to be careful of the words used when referring to the lightstick at the airport security checkpoint.

On October 7, the TSA’s official Instagram account left a special request to fans worldwide when they visit BTS’s Los Angeles concert scheduled for November.

TSA said, “If you’re traveling to see a stellar group with your lightsticks at the airport, it is amazing to refer to them as a ‘LIGHTSTICK.’”

The reason why the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) made a special request is that the name of the BTS lightstick is ‘Army Bomb.’

So, the direct translation of this is ‘military bomb.’

If you are an employee who is not familiar with the cheering culture of the fandom ‘Army,’ there is a possibility that there will be a big commotion when you say that there is a bomb in the bag.

The offline concert will take place in Los Angeles, USA, from November 27 to 28 and December 1 to 2. The offline performance is the first time in two years since the ‘BTS World Tour Love Yourself: Speak Yourself the Final’ held in Seoul in 2019.

BTS will host an online concert, ‘BTS Permission to Dance on Stage’ on October 24, ahead of its first offline performance after two years.
