“Shotaro and Giselle denied dating… but spotted together again”
Reactions are continuing as RIIZE member Shotaro and aespa member Giselle were spotted at the same venue three months after denying dating rumors earlier this year.
On the 29th, graphic artist brand Verdy released photos on its official social media showing Shotaro and Giselle attending the opening party for his solo exhibition “I Believe in Me” in Korea.
About 10 other celebrities, including G-Dragon, CL, actor Park Seojoon, and Code Kunst, were also present at the event.
Netizens are pouring in with diverse reactions after seeing Shotaro and Giselle together, despite having denied dating rumors just a few months ago.
With quite a few people raising the dating rumors once again, suspicions of a relationship appear to be reigniting. Some netizens have commented, “There were over 10 people at the party, so why are they hanging out the 2 of the malone alone?” and “The fact that they are reappearing after the denial is significant.”
Shotaro directly denied the rumors on January 29 during a Weverse Live broadcast after comments speculating about a relationship with Giselle continued to appear. At the time, he drew a clear line, stating, “Strange stories keep popping up in the comments asking if I dated Giselle. We are absolutely not in that kind of relationship.”
She added, “He is a sunbae at the same company and a close friend,” stating, “I didn’t necessarily want to respond, but I am speaking out because I was worried fans might get hurt.”
In early February, shortly after Shotaro denied the rumors, Giselle posted a photo of her daily life on her social media, which garnered an even more heated reaction following the dating rumors.
Both Shotaro and Giselle are Japanese nationals born in 2000 and share the commonality of being signed to SM Entertainment. Shotaro debuted with NCT in 2020 and re-debuted with RIIZE in 2023. Giselle debuted in the music industry in 2020 with aespa.
