The members also claimed that immediately after their stage with the new song, “Today will likely be our last performance for the time being,” and added, “We decided to pause our activities to respect the court’s decision.” They refused to resume their activities under the name of ‘NewJeans’ under Ador and stated that they would wait until the legal dispute is resolved. They said, “This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s the necessary one right now,” and added, “This is about protecting ourselves. Only by doing this can we come back stronger. We are grateful for the love and support. We will keep moving forward,” while shedding tears.
According to multiple sources, the members’ plan to halt their activities was not shared in advance with their agency, Ador. Unaware of this, Ador sent its staff to the Hong Kong concert venue on the 23rd, offering assistance as ‘New Jeans’ agency. They also informed the event organizers that this performance was not for ‘NJZ’ but for ‘New Jeans’ and under Ador’s responsibility, before attempting to contact the members. However, it is reported that they were unable to meet them.
