TOP (Choi Seung-hyun), who had previously left BIGBANG, is now sparking reunion speculations as his name has been added to BIGBANG’s official channel.

Recently, among BIGBANG fans, claims have been circulating that TOP’s name and photo were added to BIGBANG’s official YouTube channel. Previously, the channel’s description only listed G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, excluding TOP and Seungri. However, fans have noticed that TOP’s name has recently been added. Some argue that his name was there all along, further fueling curiosity. Adding to the speculation, TOP  also updated his social media bio to include “TOP” in front of his real name, Choi Seung-hyun, drawing attention from fans.

TOP was convicted in 2016 for smoking marijuana in Yongsan, Seoul, and was sentenced to 20 months in prison, suspended for two years. In 2022, his exclusive contract with YG Entertainment ended, and the following year, he officially announced his departure from BIGBANG. At the time, he removed all mentions of BIGBANG from his profile and even shocked fans by posting a photo of a news article where “BIGBANG TOP” was written, crossing out “BIGBANG” with an “X.” Additionally, he blocked fans who mentioned BIGBANG and was reported to have mutually blocked G-Dragon on social media, further fueling speculation about a falling-out.

TOP initially hinted at retiring from the entertainment industry but later reversed his decision, making a comeback through Netflix’s Squid Game 2. However, public opinion toward him remains cold. Amidst this, TOP also issued a belated apology to the BIGBANG members.

In an interview last month, T.O.P stated, “I never wanted to cause harm to the team by staying in BIGBANG. Since 2020, I have told my agency and the members that I would leave the group. I felt ashamed.” He added, “I am not in contact with the members.”

He further expressed, “I will always support the members and wish them the best. The last thing I want is for my past mistakes to negatively affect them. That thought has never changed.” However, when asked about the possibility of rejoining BIGBANG, he firmly responded, “The mistakes I made were too big. I’ve thought about it a lot, but I have no face to return. Too much time has passed.”
