According to multiple music industry insiders on the 26th, Weeekly has recently decided to terminate their contract with IST Entertainment.

Earlier this year, the music intellectual property investment company Beyond Music acquired 100% of the shares of IST Entertainment, which were previously held by Kakao Entertainment.

With the acquisition aimed at increasing the potential of IST’s music IP, there has been growing attention on the activities of IST’s artists, including Jeong Eunji, Weeekly, and ATBO.

During this process, there were discussions about the possibility of IST’s artists transferring their contracts to Beyond Music, but Weekly decided to terminate its contract with IST without transferring it to Beyond Music.
