[instiz] FOREIGNER’S COMPLAINT ABOUT SQUID GAME 2 BEING BORING

I just finished watching the entire new season of Squid Game, and saying I was disappointed would be an understatement. It’s not bad, but compared to the brilliant previous season, it’s lacking in every aspect. About halfway through, it felt like watching a new action/thriller movie, and there were too many immature storylines mixed in. What happened since the last season? I know the 456 players are focused on hunting the game creators and stockpiling weapons, but that’s basically all the information the show provides. 

Anyway, without spoiling anything, I thought the ending of the season felt very out of place and even unfinished. I really should have checked if Netflix released the new season in two separate parts. It felt incomplete. A lot of things remain unresolved, and many new storylines are created while the old ones are still not finished. Season 1 was immersive and built an emotional connection with each character. Season 2 feels like a money grab for a show that didn’t need a second sequence.

– Honestly, I’m not sure if anyone would expect season 2 to be as good as season 1. Season 1 started with the stakes raised to 11… but after that, I’m not sure what to expect.

> Exactly! It should have just been a miniseries. It would have been slower and more repetitive. They used all their tricks for season 1.

– The most tumultuous ending I’ve ever seen. No one likes a story that doesn’t end.

– Anyway, this series should have ended after season 1.

– I didn’t expect season 2 to be as good as season 1, but I wasn’t disappointed either. Overall, it was okay, and I still enjoyed it. Although season 3 is scheduled to be released next year.

1. Everyone who watched it felt the same… If we don’t enjoy it, they won’t either 

2. ㅜㅜ I found it fun though, I feel like they probably saved some things for S3 but they cut S2 way too abruptly ㅜㅜㅜ

3. Everyone thinks the same… This was such a fail compared to S1

4. Honestly the casting sucked ㅠㅜㅜ And it felt like they relied too much on S1’s fame… It was just annoying to watch 

5. I was curious about international fans’ reaction, as expected, our eyes are all the same… 

6. It’s true that it sucked, it was even worse than Alice in Borderline 

7. It’s hard to live up to the first season…. 

8. It gets fun, then boring, then fun, then boring… 

9. It was so boring ㅠㅠㅠ I knew it the moment they cast all those famous actors that have already shown us everything 

10. I didn’t watch it but I don’t even want toㅎㅎ
