Squid Game 1 is all about Lee Jungjae, Gong Yoo and Lee Byung-hun and aside from them, the main roles are mostly done by unknown rookies or actors with little recognition. 

Most of them benefited.

In Squid Game 2, most of the actors are already named or have main roles.

Since they’re known actors, I don’t think they will “hit big” just because they appear in an Squid Game.

Even with so many famous actors appearing in each episode, there’s a possibility that even this won’t work, like Sweet Home 2.
