According to local Taiwanese media on the 19th (local time), Kim Soohyun’s scheduled appearance at the 2025 Sakura Festival in Kaohsiung, organized by 7-Eleven, is now uncertain.
Initially, 7-Eleven planned to invite Kim Soohyun as a brand model for a fan meeting and Q&A session. Products featuring his image, such as fresh food items, coffee cups, and cup sleeves, were also set to launch. The event had already selected 200 attendees through a pre-event lottery.
Kim Soohyun was slated to perform for about 40 minutes on the final day of the festival, which was considered a major highlight. However, the recent controversy has led to serious deliberations by 7-Eleven.
Local media reports suggest that the chances of Kim Soohyun attending the festival are low. Given the scale of the event, his contract termination could result in a penalty fee estimated at 30 million Taiwanese dollars (~1.32 billion KRW).
1. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ In the end, it seems like it will be canceled. My heart feels warm ^^

3. He’s a 7-Eleven model?

7. Wow, what’s worse is that it’s not even just an event but a collab… seems like they already made the products so what is he gonna do?
8. What is 1.3 billion won to him?.. I hope that he gets hit with penalty fees from other CFs too
9. Foreigners are cutting off Kim Soohyun even harsherㅋㅋㅋ Seriously, is this what they call ‘what goes around comes around?’
10. Isn’t the organizer or KSH obviously gonna cancel this? How can he show his face?
