First of all, Ghibli has already declared that they will be filing a lawsuit for copyright infringement.
Secondly, I’m really bothered by the fact that my face might have been used as data for ChatGPT. I personally feel like ChatGPT is deliberately collecting people’s faces through that kind of feature.
Am I being too sensitive?
1. If my friend didn’t even get my permission and gave my face away to AI, I’d be upset too; I’d hate it so much
2. I’d hate it
3. But I’m genuinely curious.. doesn’t copyright only apply when something is used for commercial purposes? That’s why the person who distributes it can be punished, but just viewing it doesn’t lead to legal consequences, right? Running a photo through AI doesn’t generate any profit, so is it really possible to sue for copyright infringement? Or are they planning to sue ChatGPT itself?
4. That friend used your face as data. Of course, you’re allowed to be upset
5. Even if they had good intentions, they still should’ve gotten your permission to use your photo. SNS has melted people’s brains
6. I’d hate it too. Why would someone use my photos however they want?
7. I understand what it’s like to post pictures of us together, but if you’re using my selfie, I’d hate it
8. I was thinking that OP was way too sensitive and I realized that this was a community side after all
9. It’s definitely something to be sensitive about. I find it strange that people think taking regular photos and directly providing photos to AI are the same thing.
10. Just the fact that they turned Ghibli into AI pisses me off already
