My dad doesn’t really like me having a boyfriend, so I secretly started dating, and it got found out.
Of course, he didn’t say I should break up, but my dad really dislikes my boyfriend and thinks I’m too much of a disappointment.
But my boyfriend overheard him say he hates my boyfriend. Apparently, he heard the phone call from outside.
My boyfriend got really upset and said something to my dad, and since I was also speaking like that about my dad, I felt bad too.
My boyfriend’s perspective is this:
You’ve never met me or even tried to know me better, so why do you judge me like I’m not good enough? I’m also someone’s precious son, so I don’’ understand why I should be treated this way.
But still, he’s my dad, and I don’t want to blame him. I also feel bad, and we fought, but I don’t want to blame my dad.
I think it’s just the worry that comes with being a dad.
