[instiz] NOTICE ON LEGAL ACTION REGARDING THE VIOLATION OF ADOR ARTIST RIGHTS

This is ADOR.

We would like to provide an update regarding our legal actions to protect the rights of NewJeans.

Since NewJeans’ debut, we have been continuously monitoring and taking legal actions against malicious online posts targeting the artist. Recently, the volume and severity of harmful posts directed at the artist have significantly increased. In response, we have appointed additional personnel and strengthened our response system.

We are regularly documenting serious rights violations across numerous online platforms and SNS channels, including DC Inside, Ilgan Best, Nate Pann, AEREA, Naver, Blind, DogDrip, Ppomppu, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube. These violations include disparagement of the artist’s nationality, appearance, the spread of false information (fake news), invasion of privacy, the use of malicious slurs and derogatory terms, etc. We are swiftly requesting the removal of such posts while concurrently pursuing legal action.

In particular, for repeated or severe malicious posts that reach the level of criminal activity, we are filing criminal complaints. We have already submitted a complaint to the Yongsan Police Station and will continue to pursue additional complaints in the future.

We are also taking strict action against the growing social issue of deepfake crimes. We are closely cooperating with law enforcement regarding the creation and distribution of false videos targeting the artist. A related suspect has already been arrested and transferred to the prosecution.

ADOR will not engage in any settlements or leniency in legal actions related to protecting the artist’s rights, and we are actively exploring and implementing additional measures to ensure that the perpetrator receives appropriate punishment.
