[instiz] PEOPLE WHO WORK IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY REALLY NEED TO HAVE TIGHT LIPS

(pic not included)

My friend is a road manager and used to mostly work with middle-aged celebrities, but recently joined a music entertainment company.

What’s crazy is that the stuff they told me before later actually showed up in the news, it’s so fascinating

1. But like you said, if they told you and later it came out in articles, wouldn’t this mean that they don’t have tight lips?

> (OP) What I mean is that my friend knows so much, but it never even become a rumor before it reached the news

> Ahhh

2. If you want to keep working in this industry, you have to know how to keep things to yourself.

Everyone’s connected one way or another

3. They’ve got their livelihood on the line, so of course they can’t speak carelessly

4. It’s usually just the newbies who get excited and spill stuff. People who’ve been in the industry a long time aren’t really fazed by celebrity gossip

5. If they go around talking carelessly and something goes wrong, they’re the ones who’ll lose their job… so yeah

6. The industry’s small, so if something leaks, people can pretty much figure out who spread it, so they keep quiet

7. But then again, the person who spread the cheating rumor about Na Young-seok got sued, and they were a writer in the same industry…

8. When a big scandal breaks in the entertainment industry, it often feels like the people in the know were already aware. That’s when you realize how good they are at keeping things quiet

9. I used to do similar work too, but once you’re off the clock, talking about work stuff just feels tiring.

You kind of lose interest in it naturally

10. There’s also fans who know everything but willingly stay hush hush about it
