[instiz] PLAVE’S COMPANY ANNOUNCES THEY WILL SUE MAKI (MAKI’S PERSONAL INFORMATION REVEALED)

Vlast is continuously monitoring malicious comments, defamation, acts of exposing the personal information of PLAVE members, and the spread of groundless rumors about our company. We want to inform fans that we are carefully reviewing issues reported by fans and are taking strict legal actions accordingly. We would like to update you on the progress of legal measures against malicious slandering and defamation of PLAVE.

1. Progress of Legal Actions
   At the end of July 2024, we filed a complaint regarding malicious posts, including personal information exposure and defamation of PLAVE, made by the user ‘Maki’ on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
   At the end of August 2024, ‘Maki’s’ identity was confirmed, and the responsible investigator requested the suspect’s attendance for investigation. However, ‘Maki’ closed their X account. Later, ‘Maki’ requested leniency from us, but we insisted on strict legal action through law enforcement. The police station in charge has now forwarded the case to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment.
   We are responding to this case with a zero-tolerance policy, and we will proceed with all legal procedures, including criminal penalties and civil compensation claims, in a strict manner. This is not just a response to one individual case but a part of our effort to eliminate malicious acts toward our artists and to foster a healthy fan culture.

2. Message to Fans
   In South Korea, there is a lack of investigation cases or precedents regarding virtual idols, which has caused the progress of such cases to be slower than usual. However, in order to protect PLAVE and the precious love that you, the fans, show toward PLAVE, we will actively work to protect the rights of the members.
   We kindly ask for your cooperation in creating an environment where PLAVE can carry out their activities in a healthy and happy manner. If you witness any malicious slander or spreading of false information, please report it to us through the provided reporting form.
