2NE1 member Sandara Park received heavy criticism after it was revealed that she had lied about her age and dated a minor in the past. The production team deleted the controversial video and took legal action.
Last May, Sandara Park posted a video on her YouTube channel showing her and fellow singer Gong Minzy traveling to the Philippines.
During this video, Sandara Park shared a story about dating a 14-year-old male, which became the source of the controversy.

She continued, “At that time, I was 19 and just before debuting. I lied and told him I was 16, and then we went on a few dates.”
She added, “We played Whac-A-Mole, basketball games, watched movies, and enjoyed our dates. Then suddenly, I debuted with 2NE1, and my real age was revealed on television.” Gong Minzy responded, “That’s cute.”
Sandara Park stated, “After that, I didn’t contact him anymore.” Gong Minzy laughed and said, “That guy got scammed.”
