[instiz] SEUNGRI SPEAKS OUT ON ‘DEFEAT’ TAUNTS, “IS IT FUN TO INSULT ME?”

Former BIGBANG member Seungri has directly denied recent reports claiming that he left Korea to pursue business opportunities in China. He also shared his thoughts on being mocked with the nickname “Defeat” (a play on his name, which means “Victory” in Korean).

On the 3rd, Seungri spoke with Ilgan Sports, stating, “The rumors about me leaving Korea are not true. I still reside in Korea, and any overseas trips I’ve taken were purely for personal reasons, such as meeting old acquaintances or attending weddings, not for any business plans.”

Two years after his release, Seungri clarified that he has not been involved in any economic activities, saying, “I’m just living my life and spending time with my family.” He added, “It seems like people find it entertaining to insult and criticize me. They don’t call me ‘Seungri’ anymore but refer to me as ‘Defeat,’ as if it’s some kind of meme. I guess they find it amusing.”

Expressing regret for the public’s fatigue toward him, Seungri apologized and stated, “I will be more cautious in my private life to avoid any further controversies and will strive to act with a greater sense of responsibility.”

1. He’s furthest thing from victory and the furthest from prudenceㅋ

2. It’s fun though

3. Calling him ‘Deafeat’ and ‘Bottom’ is just freaking funny

4. ㅇㅇ Yes it’s fun

5. It’s fun!

6. He just learned about it now?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

7. This mockery pales in comparison to what he did

8. People aren’t mocking him “for fun”, they are calling him that way because they don’t want to use a positive word for him

9. Who gave him the mic?

10. It’s not for fun, it’s because we don’t want to use another word to call you
