[instiz] THE PRODUCER, WHO FACED THE FORCED PLAGIARISM CONTROVERSY FOR NEWJEANS BUBBLE GUM, PARTICIPATES IN JIN’S SOLO ALBUM

HYBE announced that they directly communicated the similarity issue (NewJeans’ Bubble Gum plagiarism) via email.

They initially caused damage to NewJeans’ group reputation with the unjust plagiarism controversy, but at some point, they stopped mentioning the ‘Bubble Gum’ plagiarism for no reason.

Now, Oscar Bell, who participated in writing and composing the song, is involved in Jin’s solo album.

“According to Ador, after the ‘Bubble Gum’ music video was released, they received an email from HYBE on May 20, which contained a similarity issue raised by Edition Korea, the Korean representative of Wise Music Group, the agency for Shakatak. In response, Ador stated on May 21 that the composers of ‘Bubble Gum’ had never heard of ‘Easier Said Than Done,’ which was claimed to be plagiarized from Shakatak before they raised the issue, and that they had not used Shakatak’s composition without permission. Considering that they were in a dispute with HYBE as of May 13, they decided to preemptively consult two prominent foreign musicologists for a professional analysis to prepare for the possibility that the situation could be misrepresented.”
