My Twitter friend was SA-ed by security at the Irene Ktown4U fanmeeting on December 7th. I’m just a person who likes Red Velvet… I’ve experienced being treated like I’m not even human at fan meetings many times, but this one is really scary
Text from friend:
– He told me to roll up my sleeve again, but it was already up to my elbow
– He told me “raise it even more” this f*cker ha… so I said “Alright, what about this much?” And got the okay
– This time, he told me to jump up and down this f*ck (It seems like he realized I was recording)
– So I started jumping ah f*ck seriously ㅠ ….;;;;; And then he asked if it’s okay to to touch me on my chest
– But seriously he took his hand and put it on my chest like that. He tapped that area with the back of his hand.
There were a lot of profanity in the tweet, so I covered it up and uploaded it. You can see the details in the tweet.
“I was so angry in the early morning that I just cursed without explaining the situation… I’ll try to write this after calming down and getting some sleep…

“to tell you the exact situation,
She got caught holding a photocard -> The security guards who were originally suspicious of the fangirls started to suspect them more (She said that they didn’t just ask them to investigate their padding jacket, instead they came up close to fans and started looking at them everywhere) They made unreasonable demands during the inspection before going on stage”
“He told the fan to roll up her sleeve above her elbows and jump (to see if there was a recording machine on her body). He asked if he could touch her body. However, from the perspective of a fan who must unconditionally follow the staff’s instructions and may even be asked to leave if they do not follow them, how many fans can confidently say, “Don’t touch my body”?
“She said he didn’t touch her breasts directly, but touched her chest area below her collarbone – above her underwear. I don’t understand why this process is necessary when you’re just going to have a fan signing conversation.
This reminded me of the time I also received this type of treatment back them at SM Store’s fansign in December 2022, they investigated me as if I had a bomb on me”
1. How many years have we been reading about controversies about body inspections in fansigns? ㅋㅋㅋ… Until when are they going to stop touching fangirls’ bodies?….
2. They need to treat fangirls with human rights. Anyone would think that there’s a bomb threat or something
3. Isn’t this SA?
4. How much are we spending to these types of events to be treated like that?… Seriously this is disillusioning
5. People spend money to go on those stages just to be touched inappropriately and be unable to refuse. Is this how people should be treated…?
6. No but this is crazy…
7. Isn’t this that company’s problem..?
8. At this rate, just don’t go to fansigns anymore, fans aren’t criminals
9. Even politicians don’t get investigated to that extent ㅋ
10. They don’t even touch your chest at the airport…?
