Last night, police arrested a woman in her 20s and a man in his 40s on suspicion of blackmailing football player Son Heungmin.
The woman is accused of extorting hundreds of millions of won by threatening to reveal that she was pregnant with Son’s child in June of last year. The man is suspected of attempted extortion, having tried to obtain tens of millions of won through further threats in March of this year.
In her statement to the police, the woman reportedly claimed, “It’s true that I was pregnant,” and “I also had an ab(rtion.”
Police believe that if the suspects demanded money while threatening Son with specific consequences, the charges could be valid regardless of whether the pregnancy claim is true.

1. But the person blackmailing him is the assailant and the athlete is the victim. Isn’t this fact?
2. Sigh… I knew something felt off about the woman, turns out there was an accomplice too.
3. Son Heungmin is the victim though;;;
4. So the pregnancy was a fact? That’s the only thing I’m curious about
5. If the pregnancy was real and she had an ab**tion, then she’s basically a scammer using it to blackmail, but we don’t even know whose child it was, right? People keep threatening celebrities because others actually listen to the perpetrators
6. What exactly is that woman trying to say? Unless Son Heungmin forced her to have an ab**tion, getting the procedure was her own decision; she probably agreed to the relationship too, right?
7. So she wasn’t a girlfriend?
8. No but he kinda has to take responsibility to a certain degree
9. Isn’t 300 million won enough to either raise the child or terminate the pregnancy and still have money left over…? How much more is she trying to squeeze out of him…?
10. If feels like Son Heungmin got himself with the wrong person who was just in for his money. I feel bad for him
