At around 12:30 PM on the 30th, a visit to a village in Gunnan-myeon, Yeonggwang County, South Jeolla Province, revealed a place shrouded in silence. This village was home to four of the nine family members who perished in the ‘Muan Jeju Air Disaster.’ They had traveled to Bangkok, Thailand, with Mr. K, who was nearing his 80th birthday in January of the coming year, only to meet with the tragedy. At the entrance of the village, ‘Pudding,’ the dog living in Mr. K’s home, wandered back and forth between the house and the community hall, watching every car and bus that entered the village. Villagers passing by the hall would stop to comfort Pudding, saying, “What will you do now?” Of the four who lived in Yeonggwang, the remaining five family members were identified as residents of Gwangju and Gyeonggi Province. 

Mr. K was the oldest among the passengers. Mr. K, his wife, his daughter, and his granddaughter boarded the plane, only to face the tragedy together…
