“Statement from the HYBE Minority Shareholders Alliance”
The minority shareholders of HYBE have remained silent for the past several months, despite suffering damage such as a drop in stock prices due to unnecessary media battles with the former CEO of ADOR, Min Heejin. We have refrained from further causing confusion, hoping to avoid any additional turmoil. However, we can no longer stand by as HYBE, which has contributed to the national pride as a leader in K-pop and has been dedicated to the nation as an export-driven company, is being unfairly attacked by the media, politics, and certain fan groups. Therefore, the Minority Shareholders Alliance hereby issues the following statement.
– HYBE should use this incident as a moment for deep reflection and self-examination, breaking down any unreasonable practices within the company and striving to improve communication and enhance transparency.
– Min Heejin, the director of ADOR, should no longer involve any K-pop artists, including those under HYBE, in her personal disputes, including as with NewJeans.
– Politicians should not disparage or attack HYBE based on one-sided claims from specific fan groups.
– Certain fan groups should no longer issue unnecessary and exhausting lawsuits or petitions that increase the fatigue of K-pop fans both domestically and internationally.
– The media should report on the case involving HYBE and Min Heejin of ADOR with a balanced perspective and objective information.
The HYBE Minority Shareholders Alliance will take all possible measures, including legal action, to hold accountable Min Heejin of ADOR, certain fan groups, and political entities if they engage in unnecessary actions that undermine the company’s value. Finally, as minority shareholders and fans who support HYBE’s artists, we will continue to closely monitor and maintain our attention to the positive development of the company and its artists, as well as the protection of corporate value.
