BTS’s “Love Yourself: Tear” Makes History With 100 Weeks On Billboard’s World Albums Chart + Red Velvet – Irene & Seulgi’s “Monster” Debuts

BTS has set a new record for Korean artists on Billboard’s World Albums chart!

Billboard has now released its World Albums chart for the week ending in July 18.

BTS’s “Love Yourself: Tear” has re-entered at No. 11, now spending its 100th non-consecutive week on the chart. The group’s third full album was released in May 2018 and features the title track “Fake Love.” It’s now the first Korean album to spend 100 weeks on the World Albums chart.

Meanwhile, the group’s “Map of the Soul: 7” remains at No. 1 on the World Albums chart this week, with 20 weeks in total on the chart.

NCT 127’s “Neo Zone” holds No. 2 (18 weeks on the chart), BTS’s “Love Yourself: Answer” remains No. 3 (98 weeks), and Stray Kids’ “GO生” (“Go Live”) holds No. 4 (four weeks).

Red Velvet – Irene & Seulgi, the first subunit from the group Red Velvet, has made their debut on the World Albums chart with “Monster” at No. 5. Their mini album includes the title track of the same name.

BTS’s “Map of the Soul: Persona” is No. 6 (65 weeks on the chart), BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” is No. 7 (36 weeks), and BTS member Suga’s mixtape “D-2” (released under the name Agust D) is No. 10 (seven weeks).

With BTS’s “Love Yourself: Tear” in No. 11, SuperM’s “SuperM: The 1st Mini Album” takes No. 12 (38 weeks), and BTS’s “You Never Walk Alone” is No. 14 (75 weeks).
