[NETIZENBUZZ] AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS LIKE THIS ABOUT IU’S ALBUM?

I really loved the minimal and vintage vibe during the Palette era in 2017… The album cover was beautiful, and maybe because a lot of the lyrics were in Korean, it felt fresh and breezy. The whole aura back then was seriously amazing.

But after around 2020? Maybe because she switched agencies, the overall vibe and sound of her albums changed so suddenly, so it’s kind of a shame. With the LILAC album, it felt like she started working off demos from foreign composers and only wrote the lyrics herself, which made the album feel less cohesive than Palette, and that unique vintage vibe seemed to fade a lot too.

I really hope she goes back to that minimal style again… (It’s just what I think)

Wasn’t that album copied from Taylor Swift’s 1989?

LILAC and her recent songs like Coin and Holssi were not my type at all..ㅠ Even the concepts… I loved her debut songs the most

She probably likes the kistch/hip hop girl vibe on her… But this is the concept that suits her the least..

Modern Times was legendary

Maybe it’s the company switch, but it’s possible that IU’s taste just changed. But I also prefer her old stuff
