The concept is all about insane kings, jokers, tyrants, and troublemakers… Why do they love gunfights and sword fights so much? Six teams are coming out, and they all look the same—it’s hard to tell them apart. Plus, ATEEZ, Stray Kids, and The Boyz already did these concepts in ‘Road to Kingdom 1.’
Even as a fan of idols, I can’t handle it; I doubt the general public can watch for more than 10 seconds. It feels a bit like watching anime fans cosplay and get overly immersed at a convention.
Since they can’t compete with singing and skills, it feels like they’re trying to package everything with weird concepts and metaphors to look impressive, but there’s really nothing substantial. I think the team that shows their genuine skills will be the real winner in ‘Road to Kingdom 2.’
Stop the cringe concepts, please! ✋✋

But honestly, at least Stray Kids, The Boyz and ATEEZ’s stages were well done….ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

For real, the companies have no “touch” why are they benchmarking against Kingdom? … Even Kingdom’s reactions were f*cking bad, did they all lose their minds? ㅋㅋㅋ There wasn’t a single legendary stage… We need to ban those devil/joker/villain stages forever

The first Road to Kingdom’s reactions were good and Kingdom’s reactions were so bad. There’s a reason for that RTK’s concepts were versatile and Kingdom was all about competing against who can do the same thing at a bigger scale and who can do an even more intense song so all the stages ended up flopping. Did Mnet set a budget? Or are they performing within a budget? I’m getting that vibe again. It’s been so long since the “mala” concept is gone (t/n: strong/intense)… How long are they going to push the mala concept for

If you’re a singer, show us your singing abilities… You’re not actors, why is everyone doing all sorts of facial expressions for an entire minute and then dance so wildly for 30 seconds??

Can’t they tell why groups like BOYNEXTDOOR, RIIZE and TWS are doing well in the charts? Stray Kids and ATEEZ’s concepts only work for international fans, but songs that are from mala concepts and who are only strong are only consumed by their own fandom, nobody actually consume these kinds of concepts. They’re loud, strong, difficult to listen to and no one would listen to mala concepts songs anymore. So you’d ask “what about refreshing concepts?” that doesn’t work either. You need a better concept than that. Look at NCT WISH who took the Y2K concept and refreshing concept, they’re doing this to appeal the MZ generation. Please I want to stop watching male idols do concepts like “Our performances are jjang” “We’ll chew you up” none of these groups have good concepts.
