[NETIZENBUZZ] THE CRITICAL REASON WHY SM’S H2H ISN’T BLOWING UP

I’m a Pink Blood who stanned Soshi, F(x), RV and aespa

I honestly think H2H’s visuals are flawless. Especially Ian, she’s pretty enough to carry on the SM visual legacy, and she has a unique, uncommon charm

The reason they’re not blowing up is obvious

There’s no main vocal

Not even a “visual main vocal.” Thy just have no main vocal

I realized this while watching the short clips of their new song

The nasal, whiny tone gives off a small-agency idol vibe..

Even though the youngest in aespa was born in 2002, they still made sure to include a main vocal-caliber member to boost the song quality. 

But for H3H, it feels like they were overly conscious of being the group after aespa, so they went for a totally different dreamy-girls concept

That’s fine if you can make up for it with the instrumental/beat, but if not, you at least need a strong main vocal. Instead, they just brought in young girls to match the age group

In trying to find young and pretty girls, they ended up missing something much bigger

They likely won’’ make it to the very top of 5th-gen. 

With SM’s backing and visuals, they’ll probably stay solid in the B-tier but..

They will hit big with years when they get a good song but you need to wait for the right time. SM’s girl groups have never failed

Main vocal aside, the kids all have thin voices. They do sound cute but they all sound the same. Also, why are they always singing together…? Is it to make up for their lack of skills?

Why are people being so harsh on them? EXO also had a one-year gap after their MAMA debut before coming back with Wolf and then Growl. aespa tried to rebound with Next Level but didn’t really take off again until Girls, which also didn’t do great. But everyone’s acting like H2H has to succeed immediately and nitpicking them like crazy

I don’t know if Ian’s considered pretty. She’s not pretty enough to succeed Yoona, Irene and Karina. She looks like an elementary schooler so having her as the center is a bit bland
