Police Caught Person Who Blackmailed Lee Sun-kyun With Entertainment Establishment Female Director

The police reportedly applied for an arrest warrant on the other suspect in Lee Sun-kyun’s blackmailing case

According to Yonhap News on December 23rd, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Investigation Unit recently submitted an application for a preliminary arrest warrant for A on charges of blackmailing.

Different from the usual arrest warrant, the preliminary arrest warrant is for suspect who has been investigated without confirming their whereabouts. The preliminary arrest warrant can be applied within 48 hours after obtaining the suspect’s whereabouts by emergency arrest.

The police recently identified A and identified them as a suspect. A is a new suspect who is not among the 10 people in the official investigations and internal investigations of celebrity drug cases.

A police official said to the media, “We investigated A and applied for a preliminary arrest warrant”, adding “Details of the charges cannot be disclosed because the investigation is still going on”.

The suspect interrogation before A’s arrest will be held at the Incheon District Court on December 26th. A is accused of blackmailing Lee Sun-kyun with B, a female director of an entertainment establishment, for 350 million won.

Lee Sun-kyun reportedly asked an acquaintance to hurriedly gather and handed over 300 million won for B and 50 million won for A.

The police is expected to continue the investigation into actor Lee Sun-kyun, who was summoned for the third time on drug charges on the morning of the 23rd, until late at night or the morning of the next day.
