Police, who are investigating actor Lee Sung-kyun‘s drug abuse have also begun investigations after discovering male idol and Big Bang member G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong)’s drug use. 

Incheon Police Agency’s drug crime investigation unit announced they have booked Kwon Ji-yong on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act and are currently investigating. 

Police stated that G-Dragon’s drug case is a separate case unrelated to actor Lee Sung-Kyung’s drug case but didn’t say much regarding specific circumstances of the crime.

Police reportedly booked and are currently investigating a total of 8 people in connection with actor Lee Sung-Kyun who was booked on charges of abusing marijuana and psychotropic drugs. 

Police further revealed that there are celebrities among identities of those booked stating, “we’re also conducting internal investigations into a third-generation chaebol with two drug convictions, an aspiring singer, and a former broadcaster-turned-composer.”
