Celebrities are continuing their charitable donations, bringing warmth to those in need
Singer-JYP Entertainment’s head J. Y. Park contributed 1 billion won for vulnerable children and teenagers. J. Y. Park’s fund will be distributed to 5 hospitals, including Seoul Samsung Medical Center, each receiving 200 million won, to support children in need of compassion.
Actress Shin Min-ah is also continuing her philanthropic efforts. On Dec 20th, it was reported that Shin Min-ah donated 300 million won to the Community Chest of Korea this year. The fund will be used for burn patient treatment expenses, as well as to support children, women and elderly individuals through Seoul Asan Medical Center and various organizations.
In another act of positive influence, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk donated 50 million won to the social welfare organization “Children Walking Together” on Dec 23rd. The fund provided by Eunhyuk will be used for music education, instrument support, summer music camps, regular concerts and more for vulnerable children and teenagers.
Singer Kim Se-jeong has also joined the donation parade, contributing 50 million won to the Autism Society of Korea on Dec 23rd. Kim Se-jeong, who recently played the role of Temple Grandin, a world-renowned zoologist who overcame autism, in the play “Temple”, wanted to convey a message of hope and support to children with autism and their families.
