Choi Hyunwook, who previously faced controversy for being spotted at a club and smoking in public last year, is once again under fire.
On the 13th, Choi Hyunwook posted a photo of a bear-shaped prop on his Instagram story, tagging four accounts. The prop had a reflective surface, and when zooming in on the bear’s head, it appeared that Choi was taking the photo without wearing any clothes. Some netizens pointed out that he seemed to be without even underwear, commenting, “Is he trying to embarrass himself?”
After the backlash, Choi quickly deleted the photo, but screenshots had already spread on social media, and the controversy continues to stir debate online.
Born in 2002, Choi Hyunwook debuted in the 2019 web drama Real: Time: Love and gained significant recognition in the 2022 tvN drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One. While his popularity seemed to be on the rise, he faced backlash last year after being caught littering cigarette butts, for which he issued an apology through his agency. He later appeared in the music video for NewJeans’ “Ditto.”
