– The group NewJeans released a statement today (6th) addressing the lawsuit filed by ADOR for the validity of their exclusive contract.

– “As of November 29, 2024, we are no longer under ADOR’s management.”

– “ADOR has no right to interfere with or involve itself in our activities,” they declared.

– “While publicly claiming to pursue dialogue and reconciliation, behind the scenes they have been tailing us, slandering us,”

– “and spreading false reports through the media, which has caused us fear and disgust…”

– “However, no matter how much they attempt to sow discord, the five of us stand united with one heart,”

– “and no one can divide us.”

– “Since announcing the termination of our exclusive contract, we have been diligently fulfilling our remaining schedules with ADOR as promised.”

– They added, “However, we have witnessed managers assisting with these schedules being subjected to severe harassment by ADOR and HYBE,”

– “including having their laptops confiscated and being subjected to sudden investigations without notice, leaving them in tears.”

– “We find it incredibly difficult to understand such actions towards staff members helping with the remaining schedules,”

– “and it pains us to think that the harm caused by this unethical and inhumane company doesn’t end with us.”

– In response, Channel A reported a claim from an ADOR-related source stating,

– “There were unnecessary frequent meetings and harassment toward the team and its members,

– even to the extent of forcibly keeping them at the office for over three hours, preventing them from going home.”

– Channel A also mentioned that they have requested clarification on the facts from HYBE regarding these allegations.

ADOR has responded to allegations from an employee claiming they were “forcibly confined at the company and required to submit their personal phone,” stating, “No coercive actions were taken.”

In a statement released today (6th), ADOR explained, “Recently, an employee responsible for artist management contacted an advertiser directly and attempted to arrange a direct contract between the artist and the brand while bypassing the company.”

They described this action as “a serious breach of corporate ethics that facilitated the violation of the artist’s exclusive contract.”

ADOR further stated, “An investigation was promptly initiated, and the employee was given ample opportunity to explain. However, the employee provided false statements that contradicted clear evidence and failed to cooperate with the investigation.”

As a result, ADOR explained, “The company had no choice but to suspend the employee from their duties and request the return of a company-owned laptop. There was no coercion involved during this process.”

The company added, “On the contrary, the employee delayed returning the laptop for several hours, offering excuses, and eventually returned it completely reset to factory settings.”

ADOR concluded by stating, “We will thoroughly investigate the facts and take necessary legal action.”
