[theqoo] [EXCLUSIVE] JUNG YUMI, UNITE WITH JOO JIHOON FOR ROMANCE DRAMA… LEAD OF DIRECTOR PARK JUN HWA’S NEW PROJECT

On February 21 KST, a broadcasting official revealed that Jung Yoo Mi and Joo Ji Hoon have confirmed their roles in an upcoming romantic drama.

Initially titled ‘Love on a Single Log Bridge’ (literal title), the drama is currently undergoing discussions for a new title internally. It revolves around the story of a man and a woman who were deeply in love at the age of 18 but separated due to familial opposition. They reunite 15 years later and navigate through various challenges to reignite their love, defying fate along the way.

In this drama, Jung Yoo Mi takes on the role of Yoon Ji Won, who reconnects with her high school sweetheart, played by Joo Ji Hoon. This marks Jung Yoo Mi’s return to the small screen after four years since her lead role in Netflix’s ‘The School Nurse Files’ in 2020. 

Joo Ji Hoon, who last appeared in a romantic drama 18 years ago in MBC’s ‘Princess Hours’ (2006), has stirred excitement within the industry and among fans with his return to the genre.

Currently, the production team is finalizing details regarding the drama’s settings and content, with plans to commence casting for main and supporting roles in the near future.
