The background behind why G-Dragon cast aespa’s Karina in his music video has been revealed.
On the 19th, G-Dragon’s official YouTube channel released behind-the-scenes footage of the “TOO BAD” music video.
The video shows G-Dragon discussing the music video production with the performance director and crew. G-Dragon took the lead in the music video shoot, offering various suggestions and personally planning the concept while overseeing the entire production.
During a meeting about the music video shoot, the production team expressed concern over casting the female lead, saying, “The bridge part needs to show the female lead in a way that gives a good feeling.” G-Dragon responded, “I didn’t know who to choose but there has to be a woman,” and added, “In my opinion, there’s no one but Karina.”
G-Dragon also expressed his gratitude, saying, “I know Karina must be busy, so I’m really thankful she agreed to appear in the music video,” and continued, “Personally, I’m a fan, but I also hope aespa’s fans enjoy it and find it fun.”

1. F*cking hate this
2. I hate the fact that he sees her as an accessory and not a legitimate
3. It’s not like Karina is the female lead of his MV, why is he talking like she’s some kind of trophy?;ㅋㅋ
4. Ajussi, you’re being too transparent… Please read the room
5. It’s true that he thinks of her as a trophy
6. I was wondering how Karina would appear, and saw her do the couple dance with him….Couldn’t he just hire a female dancer? why make Karina do such part?
7. Ajussi, calm down
8. It’s giving trophy vibe. If he was a rapper and said that, he’d get so much hate
9. But the truth is if Karina didn’t want to do it, she would’ve turn him down
> How are you blaming Karina for this? ㅋㅋㅋ Look at that amazing logic just to shield a man
10. “There must be a woman”??????
