[theqoo] G.O.D POINTING OUT THE CHARACTERISTIC OF IDOLS NOWADAYS

*First generation idols’ thoughts on the current idols*

Son Hoyoung: Even if you didn’t know which group they are, when you listen to their music, you can’t really tell their voices apart. Meanwhile, [for groups] in the past, you can tell which member sings which part right away. I feel like nowadays, they all sound the same

1. I feel the same with old idols, I think it’s just a difference in interest

2. What he says is true, they change the voices too much. But there’s also the fact that groups don’t have main vocals anymore, and those groups end up sounding like that

3. Honestly, what he says is true. I feel like even for popular groups’ songs, it sounds like a solo

4. I would be able to differentiate once I know them, even for big groups, I can differentiate

5. What he says is true. When I look at HYBE’s groups, there’s only one person who really stands out. Even the fans are left guessing who is doing which part ㅋㅋ Nowadays, I feel like it’s becoming different, but for the past 2 years, all members sounded the same

6. But even for g.o.d, aside from 2 members, I can’t tell who’s who ㅋㅋㅋ It comes down to interest

7. It’s because he doesn’t care that he thinks like that

8. I do feel like there’s no individuality anymore

9. Same thing for looks

10. Is it because they go for “easy listening” songs? When you go to cafes and they play idol songs, they all end up sounding the same in my ears. I can only differentiate with the songs’ styles
