HYBE announced today that it will donate KRW 1 billion (~683K USD) to the National Heritage Administration and the National Trust for Cultural Heritage. The National Trust for Cultural Heritage is a special corporation under the National Heritage Administration established in 2007 to preserve, manage, and operate cultural heritage.
The donation will be used to repair and restore national heritage properties that were burned down or destroyed in the wildfires and restore the surrounding environment. According to the National Heritage Administration, a total of 33 national heritage sites have been damaged, including Uisung Gounsa Temple, a nationally designated cultural heritage site.
HYBE said, “Our hearts go out to all those affected by the wildfires. As a content company operating in the cultural industry, we hope that we can help restore national heritage sites.”
