1. I’m supporting you, fighting!!

2. There’s nothing ambiguous about his post, you can tell right away that he’s taking a jab at HYBE. Are kids claiming that it was ambiguous saying so because they wanted it to be ambiguous? This isn’t like Jungkook’s post about NewJeans where there might be some ambiguity with his emojis, anyone can tell he’s talking about HYBE ㅠㅠ

3. I support you!!! I also support SEVENTEEN’s fans’ boycott!!

4. Seriously where is the part that is “ambiguous” to people?

5. This was so obviously aimed at HYBE, the kids who are whining about it are so weird..

6. I support you!!

7. The kids who claim this is ambiguous probably have poor literacy skills..

8. I support the fact that he gathered the courage to raise his voice

9. This was so courageous! I support you!

10. Seungkwan, I support you. It’s clear that he’s always been thoughtful of his colleagues ever since the beginning

[instiz] [EXCLUSIVE] SEVENTEEN’S NEW SONG RECORDING SITE FACED RISK OF A STAMPEDE… HYBE’S RESPONSE TO THE FANS “IF YOU SUBMIT EVIDENCE, WE WILL COMPENSATE YOU”

Safety issues arose during the recording of SEVENTEEN’s new song, prompting fans to demand an official apology.

According to reports on the 29th, SEVENTEEN held a pre-recording for their new song “Love, Money, Fame” at the CJ ENM Studio Center in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, on the 15th. An attendee, referred to as A, compiled the opinions of fans who experienced safety concerns at the event and posted on social media on the 22nd, titled “Official apology and corrective actions regarding fan safety issues at SEVENTEEN’s pre-recording for ‘M Countdown’ on October 15, 2024.” This post was shared over 1,000 times on X (formerly Twitter).

A stated, “The originally registered 1,600 attendees were exceeded, with a total of 1,700 people in a space that was already cramped.” They claimed that fans in the floor area felt serious pressure due to crowds pushing from all sides, leading to several fans fainting or reporting symptoms and being carried out during the performance. A added that attendees were required to wear thick varsity jackets upon entry, which contributed to cases of dehydration and fainting.

A also noted that after leaving the venue, the remaining space was limited, forcing fans to sit or lie on the asphalt. They emphasized that despite staff collecting personal information from victims at the exit, there was no follow-up action from the agency.

A reached out to the Weverse customer service, stating, “I am reporting the exposure of fans to a dangerous environment during the SEVENTEEN pre-recording,” but received a response saying, “We can only assist with issues that occur on-site. We ask for your understanding.” A criticized the major companies Pledis, HYBE, and CJ ENM for ignoring the complaints of fans despite their significant influence.

Additionally, A contacted the Korea Consumer Agency about the issue on the 18th and stated that the agency mentioned that if they wanted further compensation, they would need to submit evidence such as photos or videos of the situation. However, A expressed frustration that during a pre-recording, all electronic devices, including phones, are prohibited, leaving no evidence of what happened.

Another fan, referred to as B, who was also at the event, mentioned that the stage was protruding, causing fans to crowd toward the center for a better view, which made it difficult for the audience. B noted that the members were aware of the safety issues and tried to finish the recording quickly.

In response, HYBE stated, “The number of people allowed in the set and the scale of security personnel were determined according to the broadcaster’s manual. Both our company and the broadcaster took on-site measures to alleviate viewer discomfort by moving to resting areas and providing refreshments.”

A representative from ‘M Countdown’ stated, “We have no additional comments.”

1. That timing

2. Look at that timing

3. Why did they wait all this time to talk about it?

> Because the fans started boycotting

4. They were ignoring the fans all this time when they were asking for feedback back then ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

5. All of a sudden?

6. And they’re releasing an article about it after all this time ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

7. That’s today’s article???

8. “Evidences” ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ “Compensation” ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Ah they’re freaking annoying, seriously everyone already witnessed it, who cares

9. The fact that they’re now trying to find evidence is crazy

10. The members already apologized on Weverse and wrote posts about it, Mnet is known to use the members as a shield

11. They already apologized for it, what’s the point of looking for evidence now?

12. Honestly that day was so dangerous

13. How are they going to find evidence? You can even use your phones at the filming site ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

14. Wow ㅋㅋㅋ Does it make any sense

15. Wow they’re releasing an article after all this time
