IU and Byun Woo Seok are confirmed to star in an upcoming romance K-Drama.
In an official statement from Kakao Entertainment, both IU and Byun Woo Seok are confirmed for MBC’s upcoming K-Drama 21st Century Prince’s Wife. The K-Drama will tell the story of a chaebol woman who has everything but within society, appears as if she is a regular citizen and a man who is sad because while he is the son of a king, he has nothing.
IU will play the female lead role of Sung Hee Joo, the second daughter of a conglomerate and is full of beauty, brilliance, and a desire to come out on top of everything she does. Byun Woo Seok will play the male lead role of Prince Ian, the second son of the King who has his status as royalty but nothing else. Things change when the two meet each other for the first time, though.
21st Century Prince’s Wife is scheduled to be broadcast through MBC in the second half of 2025.
