Of course there are female idols like that too
* Why are there localized boy groups?
– People’s minds are all the same, so domestic agencies must have similar thoughts in common.
They probably wanted to make their own idols but felt there were limitations (things like going overseas) -> So they thought “Let’s mix with locals”
-> There are other limitations (political issues, etc.)
-> Maybe let’s make idols with just locals (some are now at this stage)
* But the strategy for localization has also changed now.
After localizing some, they realized:
-> It is difficult to capture the domestic market and the global fandom isn’t really tagging along
-> They must keep on pushing them to come promote in Korea so that the global fandom follows, and it will have crazy influence on their own local popularity too
=> Trend of promoting in Korea first or in parallel
1. Aside from Wish, I don’t know a single one of them
2. Wasn’t Boy Story the first localized group? I still remember people were talking about them ever since they were really young…
3. Isn’t EXO the first one in this category?
4. I’m hearing about all of them for the first time
5. What a waste for WayV’s talents
6. So they all don’t have the level of fandom that Niziu have?
7. NCT Wish are good at Korean too and they’re making so much effort to learn, I find them quite likable
8. I don’t like this, why don’t they just promote in their own country? Why come all the way to Korea for this?
9. I’ve only heard of NCT WayV and Wish
10. NCT Wish feels a bit different
