It wasn’t an easy choice, but I found the courage to put the past behind me and get back on my feet as a mother of one, and on my first birthday as a mom, the 22nd, I wanted to share the good news with those who support me and those I can’t reach.

The story of me and my unborn child has been completely distorted in a sea of speculative articles written without the slightest consideration for me or my unborn child. I remained silent in the face of all the gossip and finger-pointing, with articles filled with insulting and cruel words and sentences that tarnished my first encounter with my child, not because I approved of all the speculation, but because I wanted to protect my child and the man who fathered him.

This is a child who was born and is growing up with the blessing and love of her mother and family, and who now has nothing but love to give to us in return.

I made the decision to sacrifice the rest of my life to meet this child, and that decision ended up being the best gift I ever gave myself.
