Actress Oh Yeonseo will play Lee Jungjae’s first love.
On the 20th, industry insiders reported that Oh Yeonseo has been cast as Kwon Sena in tvN’s upcoming drama Mean Love.
Mean Love tells the romance story between Im Hyun-joon (played by Lee Jungjae), an actor specializing in detective roles who dreams of becoming a master of melodrama, and Wi Jung-sook (played by Im Jiyeon), a former award-winning political journalist who gets transferred to the entertainment section.
Oh Yeonseo’s character, Kwon Sena, is a top Hallyu star and Im Hyun-joon’s first love. After leaving him in the past, she reappears, complicating his life once again.
Set to air in 2025, Mean Love is one of tvN’s most anticipated dramas. It is directed by Kim Garam (Good Partner) and written by Jung Yeorang (Doctor Cha). The cast also includes Seo Jihye and Kim Jihoon alongside Lee Jungjae, Lim Jiyeon, and Oh Yeonseo.
1. No but nobody would’ve said anything if they found actors of similar ages to play in a romance drama so why are they forcing this cast?
2. Can we stop using Lee Jungjae…
3. Lee Jungjae must feel so happy all by himself
3. Are they joking…? There are 2 nieces here
4. I thought that Oh Yeonseo would be closer to his age but… no but, please have some shame (T/N: Im Jiyeon is 34, Oh Yeonseo is 37 and Lee Jungjae is 52)
5. Just why?
6. Wow… the age gap……
7. She’s okaying Lee Jungjae’s first love?
8. They failed at casting the male lead. They are just trying to create a buzz
9. That’s a 15 years age gap
10. F*ck, all of the dramas from our country have been so weird lately
