Red Velvet Joy has signed a new contract with SM Entertainment (SM).

SM announced the news on Thursday. Joy completed the renewal based on the trust she has built with SM over the years, and will continue her activities with SM’s generous support.

“I had a deep conversation with those who have been with me for 10 years based on faith and trust, and I felt that I wanted to move forward together in a good direction,” said Joy, “I will do my best to show my fans various aspects of myself through positive synergy with SM.”

SM also added, “We are happy to be able to continue our beautiful journey with Joy after Seulgi and Irene. We will endeavor to fully utilize her unlimited capabilities not only as a member of Red Velvet, but also as a solo artist and actress.”
