[theqoo] STARSHIP’S REP, APOLOGIZES FOR SHARING AN YUJIN’S DF “HEAVY SANCTION ON THE STAFF”

IVE’s agency Starship Entertainment has issued an official apology following backlash from fans over the reposting of DF content on its official Chinese social media Weibo account.

The controversy arose when Starship’s official Weibo account reposted DF content of IVE members Jang Won Young and An Yu Jin. The content especially targeted An Yu Jin with malicious intent, which sparked outrage among fans.

On January 15, Starship Entertainment addressed the issue with an official statement and apologized to An Yu Jin and her fans. As part of its corrective actions, Starship revealed that the staff member responsible has been removed from all related duties and subjected to the strictest disciplinary measures.
