t/n: both are from Sechskies
EJW: Anyways now the Sechskies group became a group that stimulates nostalgia
– But now that the wind has started to fade out, and time is passing longer and longer
– I’m starting to ponder about what I should do next a lot
– Right now, the 1st generation lives through giving out nostalgia
– We’re not a team who is able to attract by offering something new like cool performances anymore
– You know we can’t just rely on cool performances anymore
– Do you know why we failed at going global? It’s because we don’t have that vibe going on
– We can’t make it overseas
JSW: It’s because we didn’t even try to enter the international market
EJW: If you can’t even do it at your prime, you never will make it
– That’s if we had to do it with our own money
– This is why we have a company pushing us from behind in case we incur loss
– What if that company keeps on pushing us?
– Honestly, I think that I’m already old
– And the company must be so busy growing up greener folks
– This is just reality
– It’s sad, but we need to accept this reality
– Even if you have the will and the desire, there’s nothing that you can bring back
– This is just the dim end that we’re facing
JSW: If you’re not going for the general public anymore, you can still do it for our fans
EJW: But even this, I feel like you’re thinking the wrong way
– Realistically speaking…
– I feel the same way as you
– I want to sing even if it means in front of 10 people
– But do you think this is realistic?
JSW: Hyung, as they [our fans] grow older, their standards are also lower
EJW: If we get old, this isn’t something that our fans would want but, we can’t do it the way we used to in the past
– We shouldn’t give them disappointment
JSW: But we have reunited and the side that we showed must’ve been a sight full of disappointment
EJW: I feel like as long as we can show that we’re living a good life right now, I think that the fans will be satisfied and will enjoy watching us
– We feel like standing on a stage and singing will just be hard for both us and the fans
JSW: But still, I want to be hopeful
EJW: Hope is the worst thing
1. The reality is once an idol hits 30, it’s the end. This is why you need to prepare for another way as soon as you can
2. It’s not for nothing that Eun Jiwon has been surviving in the industry for 30 years despite debuting as an idol. You can tell that he’s smart and he tries to remain objective
3. It’s true that you should look at things realistically. This just shows how well he’s been preparing in the past.. He knows he can’t do what he used to do in the past and he knew it would be hard in the future
4. But when you look at Tony and Kangta on stage, they’re still doing fine
5. Eun Jiwon is honestly the best. He suffered so much because of the weird members in the group ㅋㅋㅋ This is why he’s still successful. He doesn’t even think about giving a single opportunity to those weirdos around him ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
6. g.o.d is such a special case
+ Their main vocal is a variety show member, so he’s doing well on his own
+ They’re the general public’s pick, so they have lots of muggle fans
+ People turned a blind eye on all their societal issues
+ The members are all loyal
7. The fact that I know my bias all have this kind of conversation once they turn 30 hurts my heart…
8. I don’t have any other wishes than them meeting up once in a while and holding a small concert from time to time
9. Eun Jiwon has been talking like that ever since the reunion. He said that he was afraid that he might ruin the memories by holding a reunion concert in vain
10. I’m a 2nd gen fan and I’m disturbed…ㅠㅠ
