[theqoo] “THE WAR STARTED BECAUSE OF THE MEN XX”… FEMALE STREAMER, ULTIMATELY APOLOGIZES FOR CONTROVERSY

According to various online communities, Kim Ah-yeon, a broadcaster under the online MCN (creator management company) Enchant, sparked controversy with a past remark on her personal broadcast, saying, “Wars happen because of men XX.”

Online communities criticized this as a “m*s*ndrist statement that generalizes men as the cause of war.”

As the controversy grew, Kim Ah-yeon posted an apology on the Naver video platform CHZZK’s community on the 18th. She also canceled her scheduled broadcast for the day. The apology post received over 900 comments.

In her statement, she acknowledged, “I made a reckless and inappropriate remark during a past broadcast. The statement, ‘Wars happen because of men XX,’ was clearly my fault, and I deeply regret it. Regardless of the context or intent, simplifying such a serious topic as war and making remarks that blame a specific gender were both entirely wrong on my part.”

She continued, “I only realized later that such words could cause discomfort and hurt many people. I felt the need to correct my mistake before it was too late. From now on, I will sincerely reflect on the weight of my words and be more cautious in my actions.”

She concluded by saying, “I sincerely apologize once again to everyone who was disappointed. I will address this again and apologize during my next broadcast. Once again, I am truly sorry.”

1. But she didn’t say anything wrong. Geez

2. But it’s a fact. Why?

3. They will get their answers just by looking at the proportion of men VS women who started war. Sigh..

4. Even when she said something true, they got their feelings hurt so they are going after a woman

5. She’s right and they can’t refute it. Those triggered Hannams are losers. As expected

6. But she’s right….

7. It’s the truth~~~ you guys are so sensitive~~~~

8. That’s a fact. Putin isn’t a woman after all?

9. Has a woman ever started a war?ㅋ

10. I’m so exhausted with men and their emotions
