[theqoo] [EXCLUSIVE] YOO AH-IN PARTS WAYS TIWH UAA… LIKELY TO JOIN GD’S AGENCY ‘GALAXY CORPORATION’

Actor Yoo Ah-in (39, real name Uhm Hong-sik) is highly likely to move to Galaxy Corporation, the agency representing G-Dragon, following the expiration of his exclusive contract with United Artists Agency (UAA).

An entertainment industry insider told JTBC Entertainment News on the 30th, “Yoo Ah-in’s exclusive contract with UAA has ended. They maintain a close personal bond rather than a professional relationship,” adding, “He is currently discussing an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation.”

This move has sparked speculation within the industry that Yoo Ah-in may be preparing for a comeback. He had halted all activities after a drug use scandal emerged in early 2023. Last July, a Supreme Court ruling finalized his sentence of one year in prison, suspended for two years. He previously drew attention in December of that year when news broke that he was considering a return through Vampire, the new film by director Jang Jae-hyun (known for Exhuma). Attention is now focused on whether he will launch a full-scale comeback after moving to Galaxy Corporation.

Galaxy Corporation represents artists such as G-Dragon, Taemin, and Kim Jong-kook, as well as actor Song Kang-ho.
