Starting with self-produced content with CEO Jay Park even before debut
“LNGSHOT who thinks they’ll leave Jay Park’s agency”
“Jay Park x LNGSHOT (The Season)
“LNGSHOT and Jay Park who exudes aura even just standing still”
They appeared on various YouTube channels, TV shows, major festivals, and even other events, all squeezed into Jay Park’s schedule
(Of course, LNGSHOT also received a positive response to their music right after their debut, so they received several offers for solo performances, but the major ones were included in Jay Park’s schedules.)
Up until this point, neither group’s fans had any complaints; in fact, there was a strong sentiment that they were happy thanks to their CEO, saying there was plenty of good content to share
However, the reaction gradually turned negative after Jay Park released “Mixtape 2,” a collaboration with LNGSHOT
Even their concept photos had Jay Park standing in the middle
But it’s not him just lending his name to the group
They even did music shows together
At this point, the fans still had no issues and thought that after Mixtape 2, LNGSHOT will have their own promotion
But on the other end, hip hop listeners were starting to dislike it
– These are contents watched by fans of the genre, so of course it’s off-putting and annoying that they keep promoting idols every time. Why are you calling me sensitive?
– Stop… Can’t they just have Jay Park MC at this point
– What I’m curious about is, if LNGSHOT’s own buzz factor is on a level that overwhelms HipHopPlaya, so I wonder what they’re lacking that they keep forcing their way onto that “HipHopWannabe Radio”… They’re getting criticized for taking care of a handful of “HipHopWannabes” who aren’t even cared about, and seeing the LNGSHOT fans makes me think even the ones who didn’t think much of them before will start thinking badly of them
– I really can’t help but leave a hateful comment. Still, I support you ^^
– Stop calling Jay Park
As they kept pushing LNGSHOT and bundling it around at various places like Show Me the Money, Hip Hop Radio, and hip-hop festivals, hip-hop listeners grew increasingly resentful
Fans were also starting to feel like they needed to separate themselves from the CEO, arguing that since “Long Shot” is growing well on its own, there is no need for such excessive bundling anymore
Amidst all this, news of Jay Park’s world tour broke
It’s a tough schedule where they have to stay in the US, South America, and Europe in September and October, and they say they are bringing LNGSHOT as a guest.
The domestic scene is completely turned upside down, and people are pleading with the overseas side to please cancel and separate the schedules right now, saying this is the time to focus on the domestic market… I get it.
If things continue like this, they might not win the Rookie of the Year award. As a rookie who hasn’t even been around for a year, they need to keep their domestic fans, but an overseas tour? They’ll get wiped out…
“I just couldn’t believe the fact that out of about 10 tour dates, they were throwing away their domestic fandom and rookie award career just to do a 10-minute stage.”
“It would be a hundred times more helpful for LNGSHOT to attract fans if he did one more live stream during that time than following Jay Park on tour. Please, even now, scrap the bundled promotions and grow LNGSHOT on their own. Please, don’t keep saying this is the last time or whatever; just consider Mixtape 2 the last one”
They debuted in January, but they spent more time promoting as a five-member group with Jay Park than promoting as LNGHSOT on their own… Fans who became fans after the debut song have only been seeing content involving the company CEO
Due to collaborative activities with the CEO, there are many videos on LNGSHOT social media where the CEO appears in the center
What is included in VIP 1?
VIP 1 includes the following:
– One GA floor ticket or reserved seat in a prime location;
– Early entry to the venue if available;
– Pre-event soundcheck;
– Opportunity for a VIP group photo with Jay Park and LNGSHOT with 5 fans per photo.
– and a greeting session with Jay Park and LNGSHOT
LNGSHOT fans have to buy albums to get duet photocards with Jay Park, and join his fan club to participate in photo sessions and follow the tour; it has essentially reached the level where they have to accept him as a true fifth member.
Since even the memories of their first overseas tour and photo session began with the representative’s fans, LNGSHOT fans couldn’t help but feel disappointed.
Jay Park keeps saying that idols need to go through hardships and that they are true underdogs different from other idols, but he acts more like an overbearing parent than any other group, turning them into a “Kangaroo Group.”
As someone who debuted in 2008 stands as the center of a group with members born in 2008, claiming he will pass on his legacy and try to do everything together, there was an uproar both domestically and internationally telling people to cancel their tickets before ticketing even began.
People are asking if they’re trying to sell products together because they lack recognition but
LNGSHOT’s debut album was a massive hit, achieving the 2nd highest number of streams on Sportify in history with 300 million.
The response in Korea was also great, and the number of new fans was increasing significantly.
So the second album was crucial, but instead of releasing a second album, they released a collaborative mixtape with their CEO. As a result, LNGSHOT’s Spotify performance declined, while only Jay Park’s Spotify numbers went up ㅎㅎ
But then they announced they would go on tour together with that album…
1. The reactions overseas are freaking good though, you don’t see this often with small company’s boy groups. I hope they can succeed
2. I’ve never seen a group do well with a CEO with inflated ego
3. I feel like Jay Park made this group because he wanted to promote as a group? It’s basically Jay Park and idols
4. Looks like Jay Park wants to become an idol again
5. Go leave your comments
Hi Shotties,
Following growing confusion about More Vision’s direction and promotion for LNGSHOT, we are planning a respectful mass emailing event to the company.
We’re conducting a survey first to gather everyone’s main concerns and make sure your voices are heard.

6. Dad-yah, give them some independence now…
7. I don’t understand their activities..
8. Even JYP doesn’t go this far
9. This seriously sucks, it reminds me of JYP and his inflated ego
10. Do they want to become a five-member group?
