YG unexpectedly changed BLACKPINK’s profile image and cover across all social media platforms

At midnight on January 1, 2024, YG changed the profile picture and cover photos on the official social media accounts of BLACKPINK, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Notably, the current profile picture is no longer of the four members but rather the iconic BLACKPINK logo. This image was previously used as the cover photo when BLACKPINK debuted in 2016.

In addition, the official cover photos on BLACKPINK’s accounts have also been updated to images of the four girls from the “Shutdown” music video. This action by YG has led many to believe that the company has stopped promoting images for the solo activities of the members after all four girls did not renew their individual contracts. Previously, the latest cover image on BLACKPINK’s social media was a promotional image for Jennie’s solo project “You & Me.”
